These terms govern the use of mayanmemories.com.mx and the bookings you make with us. By using the site or booking an experience you accept them.

1. Who we are

Mayan Memories has its address at Real del Carmen 302, Playacar Fase 2, Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico. You can reach us on WhatsApp or by phone at +52 984 213 0160.

We offer tours across the Riviera Maya and Yucatán, yacht trips, park tickets and reservations at restaurants, beach clubs and nightclubs in Playa del Carmen.

2. About the experiences

  • Each experience's page states what is included and what is not. Anything not listed as included is not included (for example drinks, locker rental or snorkel masks where so stated).
  • Times and durations are approximate and may vary with traffic, the weather or how each place operates.
  • Photographs show the places and services for illustration.

3. Prices

  • Prices are shown per person, in Mexican pesos (MXN), and do not include taxes. Every tour has an adult and a child rate.
  • Parks and yachts are priced on request: we give you the price on WhatsApp for your date and group size.
  • On yacht trips the dock tax is not included and is paid per person.
  • Prices may change without notice. The price that applies to your booking is the one we confirm to you in writing.

4. Bookings, payment and cancellations

  • You can request a booking on WhatsApp, by phone or through the contact form. The site's search and "Book" buttons only prepare your message: they do not make a booking by themselves.
  • Your booking is confirmed once we confirm in writing (on WhatsApp or by email) the availability, the price and its conditions and, where applicable, receive the payment stated in it.
  • The payment method, any deposit and the cancellation and date-change conditions are given to you in writing before you pay and form part of your booking.
  • Check that the details in your confirmation (date, number of people, hotel and pickup time) are correct and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

5. Third-party services

Many experiences are provided by third parties: tour operators, parks, restaurants, beach clubs, nightclubs and boat owners. In those cases we act as an intermediary: we manage your booking and look after you, and the provider is responsible for delivering its service and applies its own rules (for example dress codes, minimum ages or safety rules).

6. Weather, safety and taking part

  • Activities at sea, in cenotes and outdoors depend on the weather and on the authorities' decisions, such as port closures. If an activity cannot go ahead for these reasons, we will let you know as soon as possible and tell you the options available.
  • Always follow the instructions of the guides and staff. Some activities require you to be able to swim or to be reasonably fit; if you have a health condition, are pregnant or have any limitation, ask us before booking.
  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Be on time at the confirmed pickup point and time. If you are not there on time, the service may leave without you.

7. Liability

We are responsible for managing your booking as the law provides. We are not liable for damage caused by the provider of a third-party service, by force majeure, or by not following the safety instructions. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Law.

8. Using the site

  • The site's content (text, photographs, logo and design) belongs to Mayan Memories or is used with permission. You may not copy it or use it commercially without our written permission.
  • The site links to third-party services (WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook), which are governed by their own terms.
  • We try to keep the site's information correct and up to date, but it may contain errors. What applies to your booking is what we confirm to you in writing.

9. Personal data

We handle your data under our Privacy notice, linked in the footer of this site.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page, with its update date, is the one that applies; a booking already confirmed is governed by the conditions in force when it was confirmed.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute you may turn to the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO) or to the competent courts of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo.

This English version is a translation; in case of any difference, the Spanish version prevails.
